Report Card Submissions for No Grades/Credits Earned

The following course titles are on the report card dropdown selections for high school students. All high school students must be attempting 25 credits a semester. If a student is attempting 25, but does not earn ANY credits in one of the subject areas (or the parent requests no grades/credits), you must still complete a report card showing the attempted courses and use one of the following new course titles, along with the other courses that have proper credits assigned.

Examples:

1) Student enrolled for entire semester and attempted 25 credits with 5 classes: English 9A / 3.5 credits, Algebra 1A / 5.0 credits, World Studies 1A / 2.5 credits, PE / 5.0 credits, and Government / No grades/credits earned. This shows that the student was attempting 25 credits (although only earned 16). The student did not earn any credits in Government, thus the proper use of this course title.

2) Student was enrolled only a few weeks, but did claim some attendance. We can not submit "no grades/no credits earned" and not assign any credits if we claimed attendance. So, the report card might look like this: English 9A / 0.25 credits, Algebra 1A / 1.0 credits, World Studies 1A / 0.5 credits, Life Skills / No grades/credits earned, and Government / No grades/credits earned.

3) Student enrolled for entire semester and attempted 30 credits with 6 classes, but only successfully earned credits in 5 of them: English 9A / 5.0 credits, Algebra 1A / 5.0 credits, World Studies 1A / 5.0 credits, PE / 5.0 credits, Economics / 5.0 credits and Government / No grades/credits earned. This shows that the student was attempting 30 credits (although only earned 25). The student did not earn any credits in Government, thus the proper use of this course title.
